Camp Quest kids to receive penpal letters from Kasese Humanist Primary School children

Just a quick update.

In one of my recent e-mails with Bwambale Robert of the Kasese Humanist Primary School in Uganda, I discovered that the school will be sending letters to the children with the kids at Camp Quest Chesapeake this year!
"On another note, am informing you that I have initiated a partnership with Camp Quest in Vienna, Virginia and our children have already sent letters to the children participating in this camp. These are some of the fruits of the posts you are posting about our school project."
In a comment left on my fundraiser for a chicken coop page, Mary Bellamy, treasurer of Camp Quest Chesapeake confirmed this excellent excercise will take place.
"Some of the kids at our camp are going to be learning about Kasese and exchanging letters with students there. I will tell our campers about the chickens."

I think this is a fantastic idea and I'm happy they are going through with it!  The camp is taking place next week and I will update further about this on the blog here.

I'm still a long way off my goal to raise enough to buy the coop for these chickens.  If you'd like to help me out with this it would be fantastic for the children and the eggs would help their little minds become healthy skeptics - and write more letters to children in Camp Quest!

Editors Note (July 20, 2012): We've met our goal!  The fundraiser has ended!  Thank you everyone! Click here for a Thank You from the School!
